Cabaret Lulu
was created in 1992, when a group of performing artists from the
Broadway Theater and New York Television, Film and Recordings
were brought together under the leadership of entertainer-comedienne Lucille
Gould. This extraordinary "Palette Of Performing Artists" is
given opportunity to fulfill their artistic potential with each performance
under the Cabaret Lulu banner.
Since it’s opening in the heart of New York City's theater district,
Cabaret Lulu has grown from a single show to a production company providing
a full season of shows annually in New York City, on Long Island
(NY), in Connecticut, in New Jersey in close proximity to the casinos
and other area attractions, at The U.S. Military Academy at West Point
and in scenic southern Massachusetts. In 2011 we will introduce special
events at new venues in Hartford CT and in Atlantic City.
Our audiences are groups: theater parties, clubs, organizations, tourists,
senior and student groups who often come to us for luncheon or dinner
and show. Many of our groups return several times each season.
We additionally custom create events for corporate, philanthropic, cultural,
political and religious entities.
Each year, New Yorkers join out of town visitors for luncheon and show
at our cabaret theater home stage at Sofia’s of the Hotel Edison,
surrounded by the great Broadway theaters and convenient to other New
York City attractions. Additional thousands regularly enjoy the annual
Cabaret Lulu Presents season at our eight select northeastern venues.
A new and unique show is presented monthly; all feature active,
seasoned world-class performers "up close and personal".
We strive to achieve the highest entertainment standards in a format we
describe as Cabaret Theater at its finest. Every show
is filled with music from favorite Broadway shows often performed by an
artist from the actual Broadway production. Original songs and
sketches and the repertoire of familiar standards blend with a tasteful
touch of "new vaudeville" and the unique warmth & comedy
of Lucille Gould, the original Cabaret Lulu, providing truly
memorable entertainment experiences.
